About me:

I am a U.K.C.P. accredited psychotherapist and I abide by their code of ethics.

As well as my therapeutic  career, in which I have been working with clients for ten years, I  have a background in working with people affected by homelessness and drug and alcohol addiction and many years of experience of working as an executive coach, mediator and trainer in the public and not for profit sectors.

How I work:

I believe that most people want to be content and have good and satisfying lives - though they may not be doing things that help them very well! I see my job as helping you make sense of what you are doing, thinking and feeling with a view to choosing where the contentment is for you.

I will support you to understand what you need and how you can change the situation you are in and any negative or difficult thoughts, feelings or behaviours you currently have.  I  am  interested in helping people to view their lives as a 'whole' not just as a problem or series of problems to be solved. My role is to help you try out new ways of behaving and thinking. It is easy to get stuck in a rut and many of us have the feeling of banging our heads against a wall with the same old problems (and our same old solutions).   I will help you sort out new ways of dealing with your problems and help you feel more in control of your life.
